School Meals

ISF facilities include several bright cafeterias that offer students healthy, balanced meals in a modern and comfortable space.  We believe that the quality and type of food our students consume is very important. That is why we have contracted Sodexo – an internationally-renowned catering company which was founded in France and now has a large German and international presence – to provide our catering.  Sodexo provides ISF students with a choice of three hot meals every day including soup, salad, dessert or fresh fruit, and a beverage. Sodexo also offers a lunchbox with sandwiches and fruit.

The meals are prepared fresh daily and are available for €70 to €75 per month or €4.50 to €5.00 per day, depending on the student’s grade.  Meals must be ordered in advance for students up to Grade 4.

The Sodexo menus are posted one month ahead on SABIS® Digital Platform and are also available from School Reception for parents who would like to plan their children's meals ahead.

Sodexo also runs a kiosk with a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks including fresh fruit and salad. We limit the choice of food available in the kiosk for students from Kindergarten to Grade 4, and parents can also limit a student’s choice of food and drink very easily. Parents may prepay into their child's Sodexo account and students can use their ISF card to buy meals or shop in the kiosk.

Parents may, of course, choose to provide their children with a snack lunch and morning snacks. We provide water for everyone and the use of microwave oven for the older students.

Transportation

ISF has excellent train, motorway, and school bus connections to Frankfurt to the east and Wiesbaden to the west and is located near the popular expatriate towns and villages in the Taunus hills. It is also easily accessible by train or by car from Wiesbaden.

Transportation for students to and from ISF is possible via a number of means:

Travel by Train

For those opting for public transport within the Frankfurt-Rhein-Main area, the S-Bahn stops Sindlingen (S1) and Zeilsheim (S2) bring students within a five-minute walk of the campus. Many students and teachers take the S-Bahn to and from school.

Bus Services

A “door to door” service is offered by private taxi companies and provides an alternative to public transport.

Details of can be found on SABIS® Digital Platform or upon request to our Admissions Department, where our staff will  be pleased to offer you advice about the best means of transport for your child.
